Anwir came from a beautiful, wealthy, and happy kingdom. This bored him immensely, so he killed all his subjects and took off with their Gold. A misanthropic fiend, he only started the Dark Blades so that he could indulge endlessly in his two greatest passions: money and murder.

Trivia[]
Anwir Paincraver set his plans in motion when Enkidu was uniting kingdoms in the Free Reigns. He summoned all of his subjects to a celebratory ball the night before Basthet’s messengers would arrive, plied them with alcohol, and then used fire magic to set the castle on fire. He escaped with no witnesses.
The Dark Blades faction arose from Anwir's worshipful followers. Although he disliked the attention, Anwir was happy to soak up the money brought in from their assassinations. He set General Nishant and Baltasar in charge of the faction and withdrew into obscurity.
