Each element deals double damage against a monster with the corresponding weak element:

<p style="text-align:center;">'''[[File:simpleelementchart.png]]'''</p>

<p style="text-align:center;">'''[[File:simpleelementchart.png]]'''</p>
Dual element monsters typically have the combined weaknesses and resistances of both elements. But if (such as fire/nature) a monster would be weak to an element(in this case fire) AND resistant, the resistance overrides the weakness. Thus a fire/nature monster has only one weakness.

Each element is also weak against itself and deals half damage. Dual element monsters typically have the combined weaknesses and resistances of both elements. However, if an attack would be both strong and weak against a hybrid monster (if a fire skill targeted a nature/fire monster for example), the weakness will override the strength and the damage will be halved.

Each monster in Monster Legends has a single element or combination of 2 elements.

There are ten elements in Monster Legends.

Icono natural Icono fire Icono earth Icono electric Icono water Icono dark Icono magic Icono light Icono metal Icono legendary
Nature Fire Earth Thunder Water Dark Magic Light Metal Special

Habitats

The element which a particular monster belongs to determines which of the habitats it can be placed in after being hatched. Monsters must be placed in a habitat that corresponds to their element. Hybrid monsters may be placed in either habitat corresponding to either of its elements. Legendary monsters may only be placed in legendary habitats.

Leveling Up

Monsters are restricted from leveling above Level 10 without the aid of a temple. These temples must also correspond to the element of the particular monster that the player wishes to enhance. Hybrid monsters require temples of both elements before they can level up.

Breeding

A monster with a single element cannot breed with a monster that contains its "opposite" element:

Elementsopposite

Instead, two hybrid monsters must be bred together. For example, Firesaur and Light Spirit cannot breed together. Rather, a hybrid monster with the fire element can breed with a hybrid monster with the light element. Special and metal monsters have no opposites or breeding restrictions.

Combat

Each element deals double damage against a monster with the corresponding weak element:

Each element is also weak against itself and deals half damage. Dual element monsters typically have the combined weaknesses and resistances of both elements. However, if an attack would be both strong and weak against a hybrid monster (if a fire skill targeted a nature/fire monster for example), the weakness will override the strength and the damage will be halved.
