Lore[]

Not all fairy tales have happy endings. Take Hansetel: He once had a peaceful, happy life, living alone with his family in a beautiful forest where they never ran out of delicious candy to eat. His mother was a famous witch-hunter who made tons of Gold, and the family wanted for nothing.

Unfortunately. Hansetel’s life changed dramatically when his mother was finally defeated by a rapacious witch, who was getting revenge for her own mother’s slaying years before. The witch burned Hansetel’s house down and laid waste to the entire forest. Hansetel was barely able to escape with his life…and his mother’s favorite witch-killing crossbow.

With no choice except to eat or be eaten, Hansetel had to learn how to use that crossbow in a hurry. But he was a fast learner and ravenous for revenge, and soon learned to shoot with vicious accuracy.

Hansetel still patrols the region where he was born, stalking and taking down any witches he encounters. He hasn’t found the witch who killed his mother yet, but when he does, rest assured it’ll be a battle royale.
