Hexer Alb is the last surviving member of Anwir Paincraver's death cult, which eventually became the Dark Blades faction. The ultimate zealot, Hexer Alb is loyal to Anwir to the point where it occasionally causes him great pain: which is exactly what Anwir likes most, besides Gold.

Lore[]

One of Anwir Paincraver’s Companions, Hexer Alb is a diehard zealot for his master’s evil word. Some say he is the last monster left from Anwir’s original death cult, which was the seed of the Dark Blades faction. If this is true, then Hexer Alb is one of the most ancient monsters on Petra as well as one of the most thoroughly evil.

Due to his lofty position, Hexer Alb is openly dismissive towards Nishant the Great. He can’t understand why the Blades waste their time hoarding trinkets in a museum no one ever visits (unless they’re trying to steal something from it). To his mind, being a Dark Blade is an honor reserved for only the most ruthless of killers—as far as he’s concerned, Nishant is a librarian, not an assassin. An observant soul might note that perhaps Hexer Alb is projecting some of his frustrations about Anwir onto Nishant unfairly, but Hexer Alb would definitely kill them for saying so.

Regardless of his feelings towards the modern Blades, Hexer Alb remains unflinchingly loyal to Anwir Paincraver, seeking first and foremost to please his master at any cost.
