Ishigaki

Ishigaki was the dedicated guardian of a tiny island with only a few families. When the young monsters started leaving, the island's population died out, leaving Ishigaki alone. Luckily, he was adopted by the Honor Dojo, but he still venerates the ancestral spirits of his home island.

Lore[]

Ishigaki was the sole guardian of a beautiful, but very isolated tropical island. He took his job very seriously, even though the island was only home to a handful of monsters, and true threats were rare. It was a close-knit community, and stayed that way for a very long time.

But one day, the young monsters started leaving the island instead of staying and starting families of their own, taking the island’s future with them. The monsters carried on living as they always had, but over time, their numbers dwindled completely. When the last boat arrived at the island to take the remaining residents away and resettle them elsewhere, Ishigaki was the only one left. He had to start over all by himself.

Luckily for Ishigaki, Tenno Kihaku had received a vision of Ishigaki’s coming and sent several members of the Honor Dojo to meet his boat when it pulled into the harbor. Ishigaki was very happy to be adopted by this new clan and to put his guardian skills back to work. However, he still holds great respect for the families he’s known for generations, so he sets aside time every day to meditate and reflect on the good memories of his old life.
