Kenrei was a noble samurai killed by a bandit called Kurai Kage. Kenrei's spirit decided to stay and attached itself to his old armor, bringing it to life. He started guarding the roads and protecting travellers from bandits and thieves, but when he heard that his killer had become a member of government, he knew he had to do something. After his purification, he committed to removing Yaoguai Wangzhou from power.
