Thetys waited many years to become Queen of the Water Realm, but her mother Thalassa never trusted her with the Throne, so she got impatient: She stole Corallia, the ocean's most precious resource, used it to power up, and made an alliance with Yaoguai Wangzhou, Emperor of the Eastern Regions. If she couldn't be Queen, she'd be Empress.
