One of Robur Oldenshield’s last acolytes, Roothorn embodies the forceful and destructive aspects of Nature. While not evil, he represents the inherent danger and conflict present at every level of the Cardinal Forest, which balances out the more nurturing traits that his counterpart Wolperdinger stands for.

Lore[]
When the citizens of the Cardinal Forest split themselves into Wicked Gaia and its Pure counterpart, Roothorn chose to stay with the “Wicked” side. After all, he knows better than anyone that dirty work must be done to keep the world in balance and that just because something is ugly or distasteful doesn’t mean it’s evil. While Roothorn understands that violence is sometimes necessary, he’s not a warmonger. Like Wolperdinger, his mission is to convince his Gaian faction to finally end their long-standing conflict with Pure Gaia.
It’s not an easy job—the monsters of Wicked Gaia have been excluded for a long time by those of Pure Gaia, and they’re not too excited about the idea of working together. But until they do, the Cardinal Forest remains under an existential threat, so Roothorn’s readying himself for the fight of his life… even if it’s mostly a war of persuasion.
