Elektra Patrol's founding members built Shieldbolt from scratch with no training or knowledge of robotics. Despite this, he actually functions perfectly and is more alive than most robots. Shieldbolt currently guards Jestin Justice's orbital mausoleum, keeping a close eye on his old friend at all times.

Lore[]
Built by the earliest members of Elektra Patrol, Shieldbolt is a super-powered security robot with a heart (or central processing core) of gold. It took a lot of trial and error for three non-engineers to build a sophisticated robot; Version 1.0 was a trash can upended over a lawnmower. However, over decades of tinkering—and after Elektra Patrol took on some talented new members—Shieldbolt finally started to resemble his current appearance.
Shieldbolt’s development took forever, but that came with some surprising benefits. Since he spent so much time interacting with organics, Shieldbolt developed a real personality. In fact, he used to prank new members by pretending to be a guy in a suit and then activating his security alarm when they tried to remove his “helmet.”
When Jestin Justice passed, Shieldbolt was honored to be asked to guard his floating mausoleum. He’s been there ever since, calling down to Elektra every day to keep his conversational skills sharp. (After all, corpses aren’t known to be chatty.) But Shieldbolt’s been noticing odd flashes of light and ominous rumblings around the mausoleum lately…kind of like Jestin might be waking up. But that’s impossible, right?
