Lore

A former scion of the Fury Dojo, Tetengu became disillusioned and left the organization upon their defeat. But leaving the faction often ended with monsters being slaughtered on their way out of HQ, so when the Fury Dojo was in retreat, he pretended to fall on the battlefield. They left him behind with barely any acknowledgement of his “death,” leading Tetengu to realize quickly that he’d made the right decision. He had clearly chosen the wrong side before. But how could he find redemption?

Not knowing what to do with himself, Tetengu sought out Junsuina Kaori. He knew the formerly outcast samurai had made her own bold move towards starting a new life, and found purpose there. Perhaps she would give him the wisdom and insight he needed.

What Tetengu did not expect to find was love—not romantic love, but the soulmate love of true partnership. Junsuina Kaori was not only an inspiration to him, but a guide and a friend, and everything in his life became lighter by her side. Grateful to have found a new place under such a stellar leader, Tetengu dedicated himself to her with the same ferocity that Junsuina Kaori dedicated to fighting Corruption. These two loners have found their true path in life together, and they walk it side-by-side.
